This is a 2.5 star read, but I'll be generous and give it 3 rather than the 2 it probably really deserves. Many so-so stories in this one by people I'm not familiar with. I liked the first story by Diana Peterfreund about a canine familiar who is desperately searching for her magical master. Dog stories get me every time and this one dealt with a "no-kill" shelter. Peter Beagle's story was a good one, but I was a little disappointed with Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden story. This is the 3rd Bigfoot story he's had in recent anthologies, and this one really should have been the first one rather than the last. Might be better for someone more familiar with the writers featured in this one.
