This is a solid 9 in my own grading system, so a 4.5 on GR, and a 5 since they don't allow 1/2 stars! I can't even remember the last time I was disappointed with a V.I. Warshawski, and this one was no exception. The blending of the happenings in war-time Austria with today's story were very good. This is a plot point that can annoy the crap out of me, but Ms. Paretsky does it well. It was sometimes hard to tell just which bad guy was the worst. Great book and a definite...RECOMMEND!!
