Have I said before that I love Jenn McKinlay's books?? Probably a time or 2! The only misstep she's had is with her Good-Buy Girls books which she writes under the Josie Belle name...so I guess that's a case of a pseudonym being a good thing! IMHO, that series is pretty awful! Anyway, this is the first in a new series and it's a definite bulls-eye. Great setting, delightful characters and a good story. Scarlett's on the mend after the breakup of a bad relationship, made even worse by a video on YouTube, when her cousin Viv calls and tells her she needs to move to London and become an active part of the hat shop they inherited from their grandmother. Scarlett arrives to find Viv gone and no one knows where she went. A murder ensues, a break-in and all kinds of mayhem. Along the way Scarlett also makes some new friends and reacquaints with an old one. Looking forward to the next one...especially as it appears there's going to be a bit of the supernatural in the series. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
